Fund an Opportunity
DiscoveryBridge connects donors with educational opportunities submitted by schools. Each opportunity listed below represents a real student who would otherwise miss a valuable learning experience due to financial barriers.
Schools submit opportunities through the platform, which are reviewed before being listed. When you choose to support an opportunity, your donation is processed securely through Stripe and transferred directly to the school's finance department to support that student's participation in the trip or activity.
Students remain anonymous to protect privacy, but every opportunity is linked to a verified school and a specific educational experience.

Trust and Verification
DiscoveryBridge reviews opportunities submitted by schools before they appear on the platform. Submissions must come from school staff using official school email addresses and may include supporting information such as trip letters or school communications.
Students supported through the platform remain anonymous and are identified only through reference codes. Funds are transferred directly to the school’s finance department to support the stated educational opportunity.
Frequently Asked Questions
What types of opportunities can be funded?
DiscoveryBridge Fund supports educational opportunities that help students access learning experiences beyond the classroom. This may include school trips, field courses, museum visits, science or geography fieldwork, educational workshops, and similar activities that form part of a student’s learning but may otherwise be difficult to access due to cost.
How do you verify that opportunities are genuine?
Opportunities must be submitted by school staff using an official school email address. We request supporting information about the trip or educational activity and may review school websites or staff pages to verify submissions. Opportunities are reviewed before being listed on the platform.
Why are students anonymous?
Student privacy and safeguarding are very important. Students supported through DiscoveryBridge are identified only through reference codes and their names are never published. This ensures that students can benefit from opportunities without being identified or singled out.
Is DiscoveryBridge Fund a charity?
DiscoveryBridge Fund is currently a small initiative designed to connect donors with educational opportunities submitted by schools. It is not currently registered as a charity. The focus at this stage is to test and develop the concept while maintaining transparency and safeguarding.
How are donations transferred to schools?
Donations are processed securely using Stripe. Once an opportunity is funded, the money is transferred to the school to support the specified educational activity. Schools manage the trip arrangements and confirm that the opportunity has taken place.
Are there administration fees?
At present the aim is to allow donations to go directly towards funding student opportunities. Payment processing may involve small transaction fees. In future, optional contributions may be introduced to help cover payment processing and administration costs, but the focus is currently on supporting educational opportunities directly.
What happens after an opportunity is funded?
Once funding is confirmed, the school is notified and the opportunity can proceed as planned. After the activity has taken place, the school is requested to provide a short anonymous update describing the educational impact of the experience.
Can donors choose which opportunity to support?
Yes. Donors can choose to support a specific opportunity listed on the platform. Each opportunity has its own reference code, description, and funding amount so donors can clearly see how their contribution will help support a particular educational experience.
How do I know my donation is being used appropriately?
Each opportunity is linked to a specific educational activity submitted by a school. Donations are tracked against that opportunity and transferred to the school for the stated purpose.
